When I heard that there was going to be
a meeting at the UN entitled "Introduction to Brain Education"
I knew I had to attend and I am glad that I did. The meeting
was sponsored by the Korea Institute of Brain Science and
the International Brain Education Association. Topics covered
included: How the Brain Works, How to Use It Effectively,
Brain Education for Leadership and Brain Education Fundamentals.
The Brain has always been a focus for Never
Surrender. We advocate vigorous exercise to increase circulation
to the brain, penetrate the brain barrier and then create
neurotransmitters and neurons. Our approach is supported by
the book titled Spark - the revolutionary new Science of Exercise
and the Brain by Dr. John Ratey of the Harvard Medical School
.
The meeting was attended by about 50 people
from various agencies of the UN and several non- governmental
organizations. All were supportive of the mission of Never
Surrender to Parkinson's and we received much applause as
I told of our mission and approach.
As it was presented, brain education is
designed to be a simple and easy way to maximize your brain's
potential, so that you can live a healthy, happy and peaceful
life. Brain wave vibrations are a way of rebooting the human
computer, your brain. It will help your brain operate in accordance
with your wishes.
The Five Steps of Brain Education are:
- Brain Sensitizing
Creating healthy habits for your body.
- Brain Versalitizing
Develop flexibility in your brain's circuitry.
- Brain Refreshing
Creating happiness through a positive attitude on life.
- Brain Integrating
Creating success by the integration of your brain.
- Brain Mastering
Becoming the master of your brain by continuous application
of brain education principles.
Another element I found interesting is called
Jangsaeng Walking. Walking for a youthful and healthy life.
It requires that you tilt your pelvis up and tuck your tailbone
under. You touch your heel down, then press forward onto the
ball of your foot and then your toes. Lean forward slightly,
breathe with your lower abdomen and smile.
This will give you an idea of the program.
It was presented by Dr. Passion Jun of the Korean Institute
of Brain Science and Dr. Washington Parker Vice President
of The International Brain Education Association.
There is so much more to share but it was
rewarding to know that these organizations exist and can be
helpful to NSTP in so many ways.
I am sure you will have questions and I
will be pleased to try and provide answers. |
